There are many well-know natural catastrophes as well as new threats that could radically change the conditions of living. The effects of global warming are already apparent, changing the climate that has allowed human civilization to flourish over the past 11,000 years.

Natural disasters are increasing rapidly around the world. Those caused by the weather - such as droughts, storms, and floods are coming stronger than before but should not conceal the risks of earthquakes, supervolcanos or verneshots.
